Analog Devices announced the launch of long-distance single pair Ethernet power supply (SPoE) power supply equipment (PSE) and power receiving equipment (PD) solutions to help customers improve the intelligent level of intelligent buildings, factory automation and other applications on the edge of traditional networks. The products of this series of solutions support real-time power management and telemetry functions, which not only have ultra-low standby power consumption, but also are easy to install, facilitating the "last mile" power supply connection in factory and building automation applications.

Leo McHugh, Vice President of ADI's Industrial Automation Business Unit, said, "As computing power has been pushed into previously unimaginable applications and fields, intelligent edge has become one of the most exciting development directions in the digital age. ADI is committed to providing excellent technologies and solutions to help customers fully realize the full potential of intelligent edge in intelligent buildings and factories and in more future applications."

ADI's new SPoE solutions LTC4296-1 and LTC9111 can solve various challenges of providing power and data for equipment. Even if the equipment is in a remote and difficult to access endpoint location, it can still be reached. This solution aims to seamlessly provide power and data for new endpoint applications through the network, while providing assessment for local factors such as asset health, environmental conditions, and security indicators. The local perception and control capabilities it provides will become the cornerstone of building future digital buildings.

ADI's SPoE solution uses a single twisted pair Ethernet cable to provide an efficient, reliable, easy to install power supply that is smaller and lighter, reducing reliance on local power and batteries. Chronous with ADI ™  When the ADIN1100 and ADIN1110 10BASE-T1L industrial Ethernet solutions are used together, customers can reliably transmit power and data over a distance of more than one kilometer. Compared with the previous Ethernet standards, the transmission distance has increased significantly.

ADI's new 5-port SPoE PSE LTC4296-1 (with classification function) and SPoE PD LTC9111 (with polarity correction function) support single pair powered SPoE and data line powered (PoDL) versions. SPoE is enhanced on the basis of single pair Ethernet (SPE) to provide a more reliable, fault-tolerant and interoperable point-to-point power solution with power up to 52W. Both products meet the 802.3cg standard and support the Serial Communication Classification Protocol (SCCP).
