The LT1763 series is a micro-power, low noise, low drop regulator. Available in 8-lead SO and 12-lead, low size (4mm x 3mm x 0.75mm) DFN package. The device is capable of delivering an output current of 500mA and a voltage reduction of 300mV. Designed for battery powered systems, low 30μA static current makes it ideal. Good static current control; It does not rise on exit as many other regulators do.

A key feature of the LT1763 voltage regulator is low output noise. By adding an external 0.01 μF bypass capacitor, the output noise is reduced to 20 μVRMS in the bandwidth of 10Hz to 100kHz. The LT1763 regulator is stable with output capacitance as low as 3.3μF. Small ceramic capacitors can be used without the series resistance required by other regulators.

Typical Application

             

The internal protection circuit includes battery reverse protection, current limiting, heat limiting and reverse current protection. These components are available with fixed output voltages of 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 3V, 3.3V and 5V, and adjustable devices with a reference voltage of 1.22V.
