The RT9198/A is designed for portable RF and wireless applications where performance and space requirements are demanding. The RT9198/A performance is optimized for battery powered systems to provide ultra-low noise and low static current. The voltage regulator grounding current increases only slightly in dropout, further extending battery life.

The RT9198/A also uses low-ESR ceramic capacitors, reducing the amount of board space required for power applications, which is critical in handheld wireless devices. The RT9198/A has a power consumption of less than 0.01uA in shutdown mode and a fast startup time of less than 50us.
