The NCP1597B is a fixed 1 MHz, high output current, synchronous PWM converter that integrates a low resistance, high side P-channel MOSFET and a low side N-channel MOSFET. The converter uses internal compensated current mode control to provide excellent transient response, ease of implementation and excellent loop stability. It can adjust input voltage from 4.0V to 5.5V to output power down to 0.8V, and can provide power up to 2a.
Block diagram
The NCP1597B has a fixed internal switching frequency (FSW) and internal soft start to limit inrush current. Using the EN pin, turn off the power supply to reduce the current to a maximum of 3a. Other features include cycle limiting, short circuit protection, power saving mode and hot shutdown
